What recent guests emphasize

Balanced extended stay with attentive service

Recent guests highlight the clean, affordable rooms and accommodating staff, especially the manager's helpfulness. While the property offers practical kitchenettes and good location near local attractions, some guests note safety concerns around the property perimeter and limitations typical of budget extended stay hotels.

Guests often praise

  • Exceptional customer service, notably from the attentive and friendly manager Mr. Jackson
  • Clean and affordable rooms with kitchenettes and useful upgrades like new appliances
  • Convenient amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi, parking, and on-site laundry
  • Peaceful and quiet atmosphere with comfortable beds and fresh linens

Worth knowing

  • Some guests report seeing homeless people and contractors near the wooded areas behind the hotel
  • Pet-friendly rooms are available but may have some wear typical of extended stay units
  • Towel usage is limited and exchanges may require requests, so bringing extras can be helpful
  • Guests need to bring their own kitchen utensils and supplies despite having kitchenettes

We chose to come here to get out of the main pathway of Hurricane Helena. What was expected for 4 days turned into 9 days due to being unable to get back home. 1) Every step of the way all the staff were very kind and patient. I'm a mom of 3 boys, and each time my boys went downstairs and ask the front desk something, they were met with kindness and patience. 2) If you have a pet, there are designated rooms, but please keep in mind that these rooms will not be 100%. However, considering these are extended stay rooms for many, so for the price, they are good. 3) This location has homeless that sleep in the back and contractors that take full advantage of the wooded area in the back. However, I still did not feel unsafe as the staff and manager was always keeping watchful eyes. 4) I had the joy of listening to the manager, not critique and judge one of his struggling visitors, but kindly try and mentor him. Showing love and compassion where many wouldn't have it to give. I will advise that if you have multiple children that you bring extra towels. You are allowed a limited amount and exchange them when you need clean towels and such. Overall, my experience and stay was great and I'm incredibly grateful. We will be back.

Editing my original review after speaking with the owner and finding out he was not on board with the behavior of his employee. Anyway, seems like this issue was resolved fast so that speaks well of the owner. The room itself, not bad. It was clean. No moldy or damp smell. AC worked well. They have a kitchenette and if that’s a determining factor for you then make sure you have everything u will need- utensils, cups, plates, paper towels, pots and pans, sponge and soap, etc as there is none of that here. The issue with the employee was: I kindly requested she say something and she shrugged and said “I don’t know what to tell you. I can say something but they practically live here, so…” I said I could go say it then. She then spoke with “authority” and said that she will say something when she’s up there in a few minutes and that will be the end of it but she will not have the “friction” of me going up there to say something. I said I’m a grown woman and can. I further mentioned that when she responds by telling me they practically live there so what can she do, what reassurance is that? She argued with me and so I did too. Telling her they have horrible customer service there and should learn how to run a business. Anyway, I ended up going up there. The neighbors were polite and more understanding and more helpful than an inch of that woman is. The door also close really loud and frequently well into the night and the hallway amplified that. I recommend asking for a room away from the laundry and main entrance, and maybe not on the first floor unless it’s at the end of the hallway. I don’t think I would Add simply because it is clear to me that the owner cares about his business and wants to do things right. If someone has to wait when they’re trying to check in and you’re not able to help them at the moment, just find a nicer way to say it. That happened to me, and I was after a very long drive with two kids and a dog, starving, desperate to just lay down. If I have to wait a bit, OK, but just say it nicely otherwise it can be the straw that breaks the camels back.
